Udaipur:On being conferred with the Chambal Sahitya Shri Award, city-based poet Khursheed Sheikh ‘Khursheed’ was felicitated by literary figures, poetry enthusiasts, and fellow poets of Udaipur.
Recently, the 9th Chambal Sahitya Shri Award–2026, organized by Chambal Sahitya Sangam, Kota in memory of Dhannalal Mehra, was presented to Udaipur poet and publisher of the literary magazine Adabi Udaan, Khursheed Sheikh ‘Khursheed’. He was honoured with a shawl, coconut, turban, stole, citation, and a cash award.
During the award ceremony held at Kunhadi, Kota, the eighth poetry collection “Ek Deep Aur Jalana” by poet Badri Lal Divya was released. On the same occasion, the 41st edition of Adabi Udaan magazine, the Golden India Special Issue, was also unveiled.
The programme witnessed the presence of several renowned writers and literary personalities from the region, including Kishan Lal Verma, Mukut Maniraj, Jitendra Nirmohi, Babu Banjara, Chand Sheri, Rameshwar Sharma, Mahendra Neh, Goras Parchand, R.C. Aditya, Ramkaran Prabhati, Hansraj Chaudhary, Mayank Solanki, Vishnu Vishwas, Rajendra Panwar, Murlidhar Gaur, Suresh Pandit, Vishnu Harihar, Jagdish Nirala, Dineshrai Dwivedi, Kamlesh Kamal, Ghanshyam Pankaj, Mahavir Mehra, Pawan Gautam, Satyendra Verma, Mahesh Pancholi, Durgashankar Bairagi, and Rupnarayan Sanjay, among others.
All present extended their heartfelt congratulations to Khursheed Sheikh ‘Khursheed’ for this prestigious literary honour and wished him continued success in his creative journey.
