Manav Seva Samiti Distributes Blankets to TB Hospital Patients on Makar Sankranti

Udaipur | On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Manav Seva Samiti distributed 50 blankets to needy TB patients and their attendants admitted across all eight wards of a major city hospital on Wednesday night. This compassionate initiative provided warmth and emotional support to patients during the cold winter season.

The programme was attended by Samiti President Shri Prakash Verdia, Secretary Shri Shivratna Tiwari, and member Shri Ravi Sharma. Speaking on the occasion, President Prakash Verdia said, “Service is the greatest form of religion. The festival of Makar Sankranti inspires us to continue acts of charity, and Manav Seva Samiti remains committed to supporting the weaker sections of society.”

Media In-charge Professor Vimal Sharma informed that the Samiti has been actively involved in social service for the past 35 years, including running a free community kitchen within the hospital परिसर, along with undertaking various initiatives focused on healthcare, education, and support for the needy.

Secretary Shivratna Tiwari added that in the previous month as well, the Samiti had distributed 200 blankets to needy patients in the Cancer Ward of Maharana Bhupal Hospital and at Saheriya Dharamshala. Patients and hospital authorities also expressed their gratitude to the Samiti for this humanitarian effort.
