State-Level Livestock Farmers’ Training Camp Concluded Under the National Livestock Mission Entrepreneurship Programme
Udaipur: A state-level livestock farmers’ training camp was organized under the National Livestock Mission Entrepreneurship Programme by the Department of Animal Husbandry at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Badgaon. More than 150 livestock farmers from the divisions of Jodhpur, Jaipur, Kota, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Bharatpur, and Udaipur participated in the training programme.
Addressing the participants, Chief Guest and Udaipur Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Rawat urged livestock farmers not to limit the knowledge gained from the National Livestock Mission to themselves, but to disseminate it widely among fellow farmers so that more people can benefit from the scheme and increase their income. He called upon farmers to use the scheme as a means of self-reliance and economic empowerment.
The programme was chaired by Additional Director (Region) Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Meena. He encouraged farmers to actively participate in sheep rearing, goat rearing, poultry farming, and pasture development programmes, stating that these initiatives would not only create self-employment opportunities but also generate employment for others. He assured participants that the Department of Animal Husbandry stands firmly with livestock farmers and that departmental officials can be approached for the resolution of any issues.
During the training camp, Dr. Suresh Jain, Dr. Surendra, Joint Director; Deputy Director Dr. Kedar Vaishnav; Dattatreya Chaudhary; Rajkishore Bansal; Rajendra Goyal; and Mukesh Nagauri provided technical guidance and shared valuable information on various aspects of livestock management. Bank representatives Dr. Gupta and Neeraj Yadav also delivered important inputs on the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and project reports.
