Sahakar Bharati Celebrates 48th Foundation Day

Udaipur: The Udaipur unit of **Sahakar Bharati** celebrated its 48th Foundation Day. According to District General Secretary **Dr. Om Sahu**, the event was held at the Bar Auditorium in the Court Complex. The chief speaker of the program was **Manoj Sharma**, State Minister of Sahakar Bharati. The program was presided over by **Pramod Samar**, former National Minister and State Coordinator of the BJP’s Cooperative Cell. Distinguished guests included **Gajpal Singh Rathore**, City District President of BJP, and **Jitendra Jain**, President of the Bar Association, Udaipur.

Speaking on the occasion, **Manoj Sharma** emphasized that every aspect of life is connected with cooperatives. From birth to death, our culture operates on the spirit of cooperation. **Sahakar Bharati** was founded 48 years ago by **Late Laxman Rao Inamdar** with the motto: *“Without cooperation, there is no progress; without values, there is no cooperation.”* Today, Sahakar Bharati operates across every state in India, at the village level, and across multiple dimensions of the cooperative sector. Recognizing the importance of this sector, the Government of India established a separate **Ministry of Cooperation**.

Sharma added that alongside promoting value-based cooperation, Sahakar Bharati will also address the challenges faced by the cooperative sector. As decided in the recent state committee meeting held in Sikar, deliberations are ongoing statewide, and these issues will soon be presented to the government. If required, movement-based actions will also be undertaken. He urged workers to actively engage at the grassroots level in **LAMPS, PACS**, and other cooperative institutions and to focus on individual and committee-level membership drives as part of Sahakar Bharati’s ongoing membership campaign.

**Pramod Samar**, who presided over the program, highlighted the role of cooperatives in reaching the masses and promoting economic development. Senior cooperative leader **Shanti Lal Sharma** outlined the new cooperative policy and ongoing changes in the sector. Department Coordinator **Gopal Paliwal** presented the financial report for FY 2025 of the sweets project run by the **Pratap Multipurpose Cooperative Society**, inspired by Sahakar Bharati.

District President **Umesh Joshi** informed that the event was attended by national executive member **Geeta Patel**, state vice president **Dinesh Bamb**, **Rajshree Gandhi**, women department head **Rachna Karanpuriya**, district women chief **Mahima Samar**, retired Deputy Registrar of Cooperatives **Ashwini Vashisht**, and key cooperative leaders including **Pankaj Kothari**, **Dharmendra Gehlot**, **Rajkumar Sharma**, **Amar Tiwari**, **Jyesh Sharma**, **Naresh Paliwal**, **Kishan Daya**, **Anjana Vyas**, **Anita Goswami**, **Vipin Joshi**, **Vijay Viplavi**, **Shankar Lodha**, **Vishnu Prajapat**, **Dinesh Gupta**, **Amrit Menaria**, **Sanjeev Jain**, **Shanti Daya**, **Ritapuri Goswami**, **Chanda Jain**, **Ashok Singhvi**, **Kamal Kumawat**, **Umesh Nagda**, **Jivandhar Jain**, and **Lokesh Gurjar** from the Bar Association, along with representatives from District Cooperative Union, consumer wholesale stores, cooperative banks, LAMPS, PACS, and credit societies.

The program was coordinated by **District Organization Head Pankaj Kothari**, and a vote of thanks was delivered by **District General Secretary Dr. Om Sahu**. The event concluded with a **community meal**.
