**Kota:** Following the initiative of **Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla**, a **Ramashray Building** will now be constructed in the **Medical College campus**, in addition to the one being built at **JK Lon Hospital**. The proposed **four-storey building** will provide **free accommodation, meals, and essential facilities** within the hospital परिसर for attendants of patients coming for treatment.
**Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla** will lay the **foundation stone and perform the bhoomi pujan** of the Ramashray Building on **Sunday, January 25**.
At present, the **Kota Development Authority (KDA)** is constructing a **three-storey Ramashray Building** with a capacity of **342 beds** at the **JK Lon Hospital campus** at a cost of **₹6.50 crore**. The proposed Ramashray Building at the **Medical College campus** will be built at a cost of **₹11.76 crore** and will have a total capacity of **767 beds**. Of these, **106 beds on the ground floor**, **228 beds on the first floor**, and **228 beds each on the third and fourth floors** will be available.
The building will be equipped with a **hall, reception area, toilets, bathrooms, and lift facilities**. A **separate dormitory for women** will also be constructed, ensuring special arrangements keeping their needs in mind.
The **air-conditioned Ramashray Building** will offer **free lodging along with free meals**. A **large kitchen and dining hall** will be constructed on the ground floor, enabling a large number of attendants to have meals simultaneously. Additionally, **individual lockers** will be provided near each bed, allowing attendants to safely store their belongings.
