FELICITATION CEREMONY OF 78TH ARMY DAY HELD IN JAIPUR MILITARY STATION

Jaipur:   A Felicitation Ceremony, in recognition of the flawless conduct of the 78th Army Day, was held in Jaipur Military Station to honour all the individuals who made a sterling contribution towards the exemplary conduct of Army Day Parade 2026. Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command presided over the Ceremony and felicitated civil dignitaries from different backgrounds and Army personnel of Sapta Shakti Command for their emulatory devotion and which led to the seamless conduct of the mega event aptly exemplifying the military - civil synergy.

 

          The Ceremony was conducted at Sapta Shakti Auditorium where all the awardees, including functionaries of civil administration, police, intelligence agencies, Services veterans and the brave soldiers of Sapta Shakti Command were felicitated. A total of 13 Army Commander’s Commendation Cards & 08 Army Commander’s Appreciation Cards were awarded to civil functionaries, 40 Army Commanders’ Commendation Cards were awarded to combatants and a Veterans Achiever award was also awarded during the Ceremony.

 

          Army Commander addressed the attendees and reiterated that Hon’ble PM’s visionary decision of holding major events outside Delhi, for maximum public outreach to nationwide audience was the primary driving force behind this historic event in Rajasthan. He also expressed his gratitude towards the Hon’ble RM and COAS for facilitating the conduct of the Parade in Jaipur. Army Commander acknowledged the all-encompassing assistance provided by Hon’ble CM of Rajasthan which included the smooth conduct of multiple events at different public places. The unprecedented attendance and genuine admiration by the people of Rajasthan was a result of the same. Speaking on the occasion, Army Commander reiterated that Indian Army is not only the Army of the Nation but also the Army of the citizens and hence Army Day should not only be celebrated within the Army, but it should also be celebrated by the citizens.

 

          The Army Commander gave a perspective on the changing geo-political contours and the critical need for a ‘Whole of Nation Approach” which makes the synergy between the combat elements and the civil entities incumbent and inescapable. The planning, coordination and conduct of the different events during the Army Day Parade in Jaipur showcased this extraordinary synergy amongst multiple agencies including Military, Civil Administration, Academia, Corporate entities and would serve as a template for the future.

 

           The Army Day Parade in Jaipur was a festival of events and was  based on the theme of “Bhartiya Sena: Shaurya aur Balidaan ki Parampara”. It showcased aspects of “Decade of Transformation”, “Year of Tech Absorption”, “Veterans in Nation Building”, and “Operation Sindoor”. The events included Mega Blood Donation & Medical Camps, Cycle Rally, Know Your Army Exhibition, the Parade itself and a spectacular “Shaurya Sandhya” to honour the traditions of Valour and Sacrifice of the Indian Army. The events were witnessed by over 15 lakh people physically and lakhs of people witnessed it digitally with more than 12000 digital displays in Gram Panchayats of the State. Millions of people also celebrated the glorious event on media & social media platforms. The 78th Army Day Parade left a permanent stamp of nationalism and patriotism in the hearts & minds of each citizen of this great nation.
