Mewar Sports Festival–2026 Inaugurated, Sporting Enthusiasm Seen at RCA Ground
Udaipur:The two-day *Mewar Sports Festival–2026*, organized by Mewar BSc Nursing College, was inaugurated today with great enthusiasm at the RCA Ground. The festival was formally opened by College Directors Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sharma and Mr. Dinesh Rajpurohit through the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and ribbon cutting.
On the first day of the festival, various competitions including Rangoli, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Kabaddi, and other sports events were organized, in which students participated with great zeal and excitement.
Addressing the students on the occasion, Director Pankaj Kumar Sharma encouraged them to play with true sportsmanship and said that sports are an integral part of life, contributing significantly to physical, mental, and social development. He urged students to make sports a regular part of their daily routine.
Director Dinesh Rajpurohit highlighted the importance of sports festivals in student life, stating that this is the golden phase of life which does not return. He further motivated the students by personally participating in a running race along with them.
College Principal Mr. Sandeep Garg also addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation, discipline, and team spirit while participating in sports.
**Results of Competitions:**
* In the Rangoli competition, fifth-semester students Jasoda, Jyoti Meghwal, Taruna, and Radhika secured first place.
* Pawan Kumari won first place in the sack race.
* In the spoon race, Divya secured first place, while Khushi stood second.
Faculty members including Vipul Jain, Kartik Garg, Yogita Suthar, Jeenal Joshi, Rohit Meghwal, Kiran, and other teachers were present on the occasion. The entire campus was filled with enthusiasm and vibrant sporting spirit throughout the event.
