Preparations in Full Swing for Free Bicycle Distribution

Banswara: Preparations for the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) and the Free Bicycle Distribution Programme are underway at the Government Senior Secondary School, Amarthun. On Friday, Administrator Rajendra Kumar Charpota, along with senior members of the Parents’ Association Executive Committee led by Lakshman Bhai, held a meeting with the school staff. Detailed guidelines were issued to teachers and staff, emphasizing the need to ensure 100 percent participation of parents, public representatives, and villagers through maximum student outreach.

Teachers of the Amarthun staff informed that the total student enrollment at Nodal Amarthun stands at 1,987, out of which nearly half are girls. Under the state government’s Free Bicycle Distribution Scheme, bicycles will be distributed to 49 girl students who have passed Class VIII. On the same day, chassis number marking, allocation of bicycles, and completion of application formalities were carried out.

During a simple ceremony, the Student Parliament submitted a memorandum highlighting several issues related to Government Senior Secondary School Amarthun and the nodal institution. These included the requirement of 10 additional classrooms, 5 laboratories, and the urgent filling of 10 vacant posts, including lecturers in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Mathematics, and Class IV staff. Demands were also raised for a girls’ hostel, a stadium, and repairs of all dilapidated buildings of the nodal school.

Administrator Rajendra Kumar Charpota assured that proposals would be sent at the earliest to fill vacant posts, carry out repairs of the dilapidated buildings, and construct toilets and urinals for girls.

On this occasion, Institution Head and PO Principal of Amarthun, Arun Vyas, provided comprehensive information about various welfare schemes such as Palanhar, Aapki Beti Yojana, free textbooks, uniforms, bicycles, transfer vouchers, and different scholarships and incentive amounts available to students.

The programme was conducted by Shift In-Charge Khushpal Katara. Teachers and staff including Dayashankar Charpota, Bherulal Dodiyar, Mayur Padiyar, Mukesh Patel, Jeevan Lal Ninama, Hitesh Kumar Ninama, Mrs. Pragya Adhikari, Kachru Lal Charpota, Harishankar Mansingh, Parvat Singh, Mrs. Raina Ninama, along with office bearers of the Student Parliament, also shared their views during the meeting.
