Grand Conclusion of Mewar Sports Festival–2026; Students Displayed Outstanding Sporting Spirit Across Events
Udaipur | The two-day **Mewar Sports Festival–2026**, organized by Mewar B.Sc. Nursing College, concluded today at the RCA Ground with great enthusiasm and a true spirit of sportsmanship. During the closing ceremony, winners and runners-up of various sports competitions were honored with trophies and certificates.
On this occasion, College Directors **Pankaj Kumar Sharma** and **Kailash Salvi** congratulated the winning players and emphasized that sports play a vital role in the physical, mental, and social development of students. They stated that sports help inculcate discipline, leadership qualities, and a strong sense of teamwork.
In the **Cricket** competition, the **Fourth Year** team emerged as champions. In **Boys’ Kabaddi**, the **First Year** team secured first place.
In **Boys’ Volleyball**, the **Third Year** team won the championship, while in **Boys’ Badminton**, players from the **Fourth Year** claimed the winner’s title. The **Tug of War** competition was won by the **Second Year** team.
In the **Girls’ category**, the **Third Year** team won **Kabaddi**. In **Volleyball**, the **Second Year** team secured first position, and the **Second Year** girls also emerged as winners in **Badminton**.
Addressing the students, College Principal **Sandeep Garg** said that such sports events help develop self-confidence, cooperation, and a healthy sense of positive competition among students. He congratulated all participants and the organizing committee for the successful conduct of the event.
The event was attended by college staff members **Vipul Jain, Kartik Garg, Yogita Suthar, Jeenal Joshi, Rohit Meghwal, Kiran**, along with all faculty members and students. The entire campus was filled with a festive sports atmosphere throughout the event.
