####Amarthoon Gram Panchayat Celebrates Subhash Jayanti, Basant Panchami with Multi-Themed Awareness Fair

Banswara:A vibrant blend of patriotism, culture, education, and civic awareness marked the celebrations of Subhash Jayanti and Basant Panchami at the Government Senior Secondary School, Amarthoon (Nodal School), under the Gram Panchayat Amarthoon. The campus buzzed with activities as the Nipun Mela, Krishna Bhog, and a series of awareness and welfare programs were organised under the leadership of School Principal Arun Vyas.

The programme featured a wide range of initiatives including cyber crime prevention awareness, free bicycle distribution, voter awareness (SVEEP) activities, pre-NDV programmes, census awareness, My India–My Vote campaign, road safety activities, Mega PTM, and engagement of SMC, SDMC, PTA members and student parliament representatives. Scientific life sketches, National Voters’ Day oath-taking, competitions, and festive celebrations added to the enthusiasm.

Ceremonial Beginning and Key Addresses

The event commenced with Saraswati Vandana, traditional worship rituals, abhishek, and floral tributes. Distinguished guests including Administrator Rajendra Kumar Charpota, Bherulal Seth, Parmeshwar Ninama, Shantilal, Hitesh Charpota, Kamlesh Charpota, and Gatilal addressed the gathering and highlighted pressing issues faced by the institution and the region.

Concern Over Tribal Youth Unemployment

Local public representative Bherulal Seth raised serious concerns regarding unemployment in the Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) area. He stated that the TSP was formed to ensure development and priority employment for local tribal youth, yet even after years, the region continues to suffer from joblessness.

“Parents mortgage their farmland to train their children with the hope of employment, but due to recruitment frauds, OMR manipulation, and fake IDs, outsiders secure jobs and leave after a few months. Our schools, hospitals, and departments are left vacant again—this is alarming,” he said, demanding priority employment for local youth to prevent tragic incidents like the Kankri Dungri accident.

Demands Raised by Student Parliament

The Student Parliament representatives, including Sapna Charpota and Ashish Charpota, presented a detailed memorandum highlighting key infrastructural and academic needs. These included:

  • Filling 10 vacant teaching and staff posts (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture Science)

  • Repair of dilapidated school buildings

  • Construction of 10 new classrooms and 5 laboratories

  • Boundary wall repairs

  • Construction of toilets for 376 girl students

  • Removal of encroachment from school agricultural land and development of a sports stadium

  • Construction of a girls’ hostel

  • Timely transfer of scholarships, incentive amounts, and benefits under Palanhar, Aapki Beti Yojana, free scooty scheme, along with Aadhaar–Jan Aadhaar authentication compliance
