University | Assistant Professor Suspended Over Serious Irregularities
Udaipur: Serious irregularities have come to light in the Yoga Department of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University). In connection with these allegations, Dr. Dilip Singh Chauhan, working as an Assistant Professor, has been suspended with immediate effect.
Registrar Dr. Tarun Shrimali informed that while serving over the past years as Acting Director of the Department of Yoga and Physical Education at Manikyalal Verma Shramjeevi College, Udaipur, Dr. Chauhan allegedly committed financial and other irregularities amounting to approximately ₹10 lakh. In view of these allegations, a departmental inquiry committee has been constituted. Pending the inquiry, Dr. Chauhan has been suspended and attached to the Central Office as APO.
It was further stated that after the formation of the inquiry committee, Dr. Chauhan allegedly attempted to influence the investigation by spreading misleading and baseless information against the institution on social media and other platforms, thereby tarnishing the university’s image.
The allegations under investigation against Dr. Chauhan include:

Participating simultaneously in multiple courses, examinations, and academic activities during regular service without competent permission and deriving dual benefits.

Obtaining academic degrees by concealing facts and in violation of prescribed rules.

Committing serious financial irregularities in the purchase of track suits, blazers, and other materials, causing significant financial loss to the institution.

Misuse of official position by creating a conflict of interest and ensuring benefits to family members.

Gross negligence of duty and causing damage to the image of the institution and the university.
