Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji’s 344th Birth Anniversary and 77th Republic Day Celebrated
Udaipur | Under the aegis of Dhan Dhan Baba Deep Singh Ji Seva Samiti, Udaipur, the 344th birth anniversary of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji along with the 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great reverence, enthusiasm, and a spirit of social harmony at Lake City Enclave, Rebarion Ka Guda.
Samiti President Balkaran Singh Ji informed that the programme commenced with flag hoisting by the residents of Lake City Society, symbolizing national pride and unity. This was followed by the ceremonial and respectful procession of the holy Guru Granth Sahib Ji from the Gurudwara to the residence of the sangat, where Sukhmani Sahib Path was recited by the Gurudwara granthis. After the recitation, the congregation raised spirited jaikaras of Baba Deep Singh Ji, transforming the atmosphere into one of deep spirituality and devotion.
A large number of prominent citizens of the city participated enthusiastically in the programme. As part of the celebrations, langar and prasad were organized, and food was distributed to needy families in the nearby areas, spreading the message of selfless service and humanity.
Media Coordinator Professor Vimal Sharma highlighted that Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji is among the most revered martyrs of Sikh history, remembered for his extraordinary sacrifice, unwavering courage, and absolute devotion to the teachings of the Sikh Gurus. On this occasion, members of the sangat expressed a collective desire to construct a grand Gurudwara in Udaipur in the name of Baba Deep Singh Ji. The committee assured that the groundwork for this noble initiative has already begun and, with collective support, the sacred resolution will soon be realized.
Following the main programme, a committee meeting was held in which it was unanimously decided to extend assistance to needy individuals, support education for meritorious students, and initiate physiotherapy-based medical services as part of the Samiti’s social welfare activities.
Prominent members present at the meeting included Dr. Shraddha Gattani, Balkaran Singh, Vipin Lodha, Harish God, Amit Joshi, Jaskaran Singh, Raunak Jain, Shaurya, Simran, Shubh, Nitin Gattani, Sangeeta Gattani, Rakshit, Mahendra, Vinod, Mukesh Salvi, along with several other distinguished members.
The celebration beautifully blended patriotism, spirituality, and social service, reinforcing the enduring legacy of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji and the values of unity, sacrifice, and humanity.
