Wellness took centre stage at the Imperial Ballroom of Taj Santacruz, where actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood and Dr. Bhushan Gagrani, Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, attended as Chief Guests at the Society Achievers Wellness Special Edition Launch & Felicitation Event. Joining them as Special Guest was popular actor Mukesh Rishi, adding cinematic presence to an evening dedicated to the art and science of living well.

The evening was hosted by Ashok Dhamankar, Founder of Magnate Publishing, alongside Jayshree Dhamankar, Chief Editor Andrea Costabir, Global Wellness Ambassador Dr. Rekha Chaudhary, and Team Magnate. The gathering brought together thought leaders from medicine, mental health, fitness, beauty, and social impact — a true cross-section of the modern wellness movement.

Among those honoured were Pain Management Specialist Dr. Mahesh Menon, Psychiatrist Dr. Kersi Chavda, Prof. Dr. Kartar Lalvani OBE of Mayer Pharma and Vitabiotics, mental health advocates Ira Khan and Smritee Paul, actress-nutritionist Claudia Ciesla, hair specialist Savio John Pereira, and makeup expert Ojas Rajani. Together, they represented the many dimensions of wellness today — physical, emotional, aesthetic, and psychological.

The highlight of the evening was the formal unveiling of the Society Wellness Special Edition by Sonu Sood in the presence of Dr. Gagrani, symbolizing a powerful alignment between influence, responsibility, and civic wellbeing. The event evolved into a meaningful dialogue on how wellness is no longer confined to lifestyle trends but is increasingly linked to empathy, accessibility, and community care.

Speaking at the launch, Sonu Sood reflected, “Wellness begins with empathy. When we look after each other and ensure help reaches those who need it most, we create healthier communities from the ground up.” His words echoed the humanitarian work he is widely known for, reinforcing the social dimension of wellbeing.

Ira Khan, who has been vocal about mental health advocacy, added, “Our foundation’s doors are always open. Mental health support should be accessible, stigma-free, and part of everyday life,” underscoring the growing urgency around emotional wellness, especially among younger generations.

Mukesh Rishi brought a grounded, practical perspective, remarking, “My mantra is simple — sweat it out. Physical discipline builds mental strength, and that balance is the real foundation of wellness,” highlighting the timeless connection between physical activity and mental resilience.

From the publishing perspective, Ashok Dhamankar noted that wellness today is about informed and responsible living, with the special edition spotlighting voices shaping a healthier, more conscious society. Andrea Costabir added that the edition focuses on resilience, balance, and mindful living, reminding readers that wellness touches every sphere of life.

Dr. Rekha Chaudhary emphasized that true wellness must be holistic — integrating physical health, mental stability, and environmental consciousness — reinforcing that wellbeing is a shared responsibility rather than an individual luxury.

The Society Achievers Wellness Special Edition ultimately positioned wellness as a social movement rooted in empathy, awareness, and meaningful action, serving as a reminder that when public influence aligns with intention, conversations around health and humanity can inspire lasting, real-world change.
