Udaipur: On the completion of 75 years of the Udaipur Tax Bar Association (UTBA), the prestigious UTBA Tax Fraternity Cricket Tournament 2026 is being organized on a grand scale as part of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The tournament will commence on February 7, 2026, while the grand final and closing ceremony will be held on February 15, 2026, at the Madan Paliwal Mirage Sports Center Cricket Ground, Nathdwara.
Sharing details of the tournament, UTBA President CA Gautam Sukhlecha and Sports Committee Chairman CA Pankaj Jain stated that the tournament has been continuously organized for the past 35 years, with participation from the Tax Bar, Income Tax Department, Commercial Tax Department, Excise Department, and other tax-related bodies. The objective of the tournament is to promote mutual harmony, cooperation, and fraternity among tax administrators and tax professionals.
CA Gautam Sukhlecha informed that the tournament will be played in a T20 format, with four teams participating—Income Tax Department, CGST, GST, and UTBA. Each team will play three league matches. After the league stage, the top two teams will compete in the final, while the remaining two teams will play for third place.
CA Pankaj Jain added that the league matches will be held on February 7, 8, and 14, 2026, at the Geetanjali Cricket Ground, GMCH, Udaipur. On Sunday, February 15, 2026, the third-place match and the final will be played at the Madan Paliwal Mirage Sports Center Cricket Ground, Nathdwara, followed by the prize distribution and closing ceremony at the Mirage Stadium. The ceremony will be graced by Mirage Group Managing Director Mr. Madan Paliwal, along with senior officials from the Income Tax Department, CGST, and SGST.
CA Gautam Sukhlecha and CA Pankaj Jain emphasized that the tournament not only promotes sportsmanship but also strengthens positive dialogue and coordination between tax administration authorities and tax professionals. They appealed to sports enthusiasts of Udaipur to participate in the event and encourage the players.
