Inauguration of NSS Unit’s Special Camp

Udaipur: A seven-day special camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit was formally inaugurated on February 5 at the College of Fisheries, a constituent college of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of the college’s former Dean, Dr. B. K. Sharma, Dr. M. L. Aujha, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Suman Takar, Programme Officer of the National Service Scheme.
On the occasion, the chief guest and former Dean Dr. B. K. Sharma advised the volunteers to work hard to achieve success in life, to never consider any task as small, and to discharge their duties towards the nation with discipline and dedication.
Special guest Dr. M. L. Aujha emphasized the importance of moral education for the all-round development of students and highlighted the significant role of NSS volunteers in serving society.
Welcoming the chief guest and special guest, NSS Programme Officer Dr. Suman Takar provided detailed information about the activities planned during the seven-day special camp. She informed that 25 NSS volunteers from the college are participating in the camp, which will continue until February 11.
On the first day of the camp, Dr. B. K. Sharma delivered an informative session on lake and environmental conservation, women’s education, and women’s rights. In the afternoon, NSS volunteers carried out cleanliness drives and shramdaan (voluntary labour) in and around the college campus, fulfilling their social responsibilities.
The vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Suman Takar, Programme Officer, National Service Scheme.
