Udaipur: Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the Gram Utthan Camps being organized across the state are proving highly beneficial for farmers and the general public alike. Beneficiaries have expressed their appreciation for the Chief Minister and the state government for these people-centric initiatives.
During the Gram Utthan Camp held at Phalasia on Thursday, the Department of Horticulture, Udaipur, extended significant benefits to farmers by issuing work orders for polyhouse construction and solar pump installation under agriculture advancement schemes.
Deputy Director, Horticulture Department, Dr. Kailash Chandra Sharma, informed that farmers Suryaprakash Meghwal and Maganlal from the Bichhiwada area were issued work orders for the construction of 2,500 square meter polyhouses. The total cost of the project is ₹26.91 lakh, of which the Horticulture Department will provide a subsidy of ₹18.84 lakh, while the farmers’ contribution will be only ₹8.07 lakh.
Similarly, farmers Shankarlal and Rupa from Amiwada were issued work orders for the installation of 5 HP solar pumps. The total cost of this scheme is ₹2.92 lakh, and the department has provided a 100 percent subsidy, covering the entire cost for the beneficiaries.
Expressing their happiness over the substantial financial assistance, the beneficiary farmers thanked the state government and the Department of Horticulture for the support.
