Udaipur: The Udaipur District Rapid & Blitz Chess Selection Championship 2026, organized by the Ad-Hoc Committee of the District Chess Association, concluded on Sunday at St. Anthony School, Sector-4. A joint prize distribution ceremony for both Rapid and Blitz categories was held on the occasion.
The event’s chief guest was Advocate Sonika Jain, who also served as the Tournament Director and Coordinator. The stage was graced by Chief Arbiter Neelesh Kumawat and Associate Arbiters Bhavesh Pandiar, Nandan Kumawat, and Siddharth Jain.
The top two players in both Blitz and Rapid events will represent Udaipur in the upcoming Rajasthan State Rapid & Blitz Chess Championship.
Blitz Competition – Main Category
• 1st Place: Pranay Choradiya – 7 points; ₹1,200 cash + trophy
• 2nd Place: Babel T. Divyanshu – 6 points; ₹1,100 cash + trophy
• 3rd Place: Hardik Gupta – 6 points; ₹1,000 cash + trophy
• 4th Place: Dhananjay Shukla – 6 points; ₹750 cash + medal
• 5th Place: Viyansh Bhatnagar – 6 points; ₹500 cash + medal

According to the organizing committee, around 100 players from across the district participated in the championship. The event was conducted as a district-level selection trial, and the top performers will now represent Udaipur in the upcoming state-level chess competitions.
