Udaipur: The City of Lakes is all set to witness a spectacular cricketing carnival this February as international, IPL, and top domestic cricketers arrive in Udaipur for a high-profile T-20 tournament. Preparations are in full swing for the Rockwoods Blazing Striker Cricket Cup, scheduled to be held from February 21 to 28, 2026, at the historic Shikharwadi Ground.
The tournament promises high-octane action with day-night matches played using the internationally approved Kookaburra ball, offering fans an authentic international cricketing experience.
The details were shared during a press conference attended by Organising Chairman Sunil Laddha, Organising Secretary Vivek Ghai, Udaipur Cricket Association President Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, UCA Secretary Manoj Chaudhary, District Cricket Association Treasurer Mahendra Sharma, Deepak Sharma, and CA Manish Agrawal.
Deepak Sharma informed that several prominent names from Indian and IPL cricket are expected to participate, including Indian team pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel, Pawan Negi, along with IPL talents Mangesh Yadav, Shivam Singh, Priyansh Arya, Aryan Juyal, and Shubham Garhwal.
Eight Teams, Elite Competition
Organising Secretary Vivek Ghai stated that eight teams will compete in the tournament. Each team must include three IPL players and five Ranji Trophy players, ensuring a high standard of competition. The teams will be divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals.
Double-Headers Every Day
Cricket lovers can look forward to two matches daily—one played during the day and the other under floodlights at night. Special lighting arrangements and spectator facilities are being put in place for the night matches.
Big Prize Money and Professional Kits
Players will be provided with colored kits, adding to the tournament’s professional appeal. The winning team will receive ₹10 lakh, while the runner-up will be awarded ₹5 lakh in prize money.

UCA President Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar said that hosting such a prestigious tournament is a proud moment for Udaipur. He emphasized that events like this not only provide a valuable platform for young cricketers but also help establish Udaipur as a growing sports destination on the national cricketing map.
