A Historic Moment for Ajmer : The Dream of a Girls' Sainik School Now a Reality

Jaipur/Ajmer/New Delhi. Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani's dream of a girls' Sainik School in Ajmer has now come true. This institution will empower girls with the values of discipline, patriotism, and leadership.
Thanks to the efforts of Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, the Rajasthan government has sanctioned Rs. 20 crore for the girls' Sainik School in Hathikheda village, Ajmer. The school building will be constructed on 15 acres of land in Hathikheda village. Along with the building, other construction and development work will also be undertaken, including boundary walls, office buildings, training ranges, and parade grounds.
Calling it a historic moment for Ajmer, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani said that the realization of the dream of a girls' Sainik School in Ajmer will provide better educational opportunities and inspiration to the girls of the Ajmer region, enabling them to become an integral part of the Indian armed forces and other important services.
Devnani said that this is a significant step towards the empowerment of women, which will give a new direction to the future of coming generations.
It is noteworthy that Sainik Schools, operating under the control of the Ministry of Defence, are residential schools whose main objective is to prepare disciplined, leadership-oriented, and patriotic citizens for the country, especially young people who can go on to become officers in the Indian armed forces.
The goal of Sainik Schools is to prepare students for the National Defence Academy (NDA), the Indian Naval Academy (INA), and other defence institutions.
These schools instill in students rigorous discipline, punctuality, self-reliance, and leadership qualities, which are the foundation of military life. They also strengthen the students' sense of patriotism, national unity, and social responsibility. Sainik Schools provide modern, high-quality education under the CBSE curriculum, offering scientific and competitive learning to enable students to succeed in all walks of life. A key objective of Sainik Schools is also to provide better education and equal opportunities to meritorious students, especially those from rural and backward areas. Sainik Schools instill character development and moral education in students, fostering values such as honesty, integrity, courage, sacrifice, and a spirit of service. They also make students physically fit and mentally strong through regular physical training, sports, drills, and adventure activities.
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani says that Sainik Schools are not merely institutions for producing soldiers, but rather they mold citizens who can lead society and the nation with values of discipline, leadership, and national service.
