Workshop on Mental Health and Professional Excellence in Nursing Held in Udaipur

Udaipur: A workshop on the theme “Mental Health and Professional Excellence in Nursing” was organized at Mewar B.Sc. Nursing College, Udaipur. The session on mental health and personality development was conducted by psychologist and founder of Snowflakes Counselling Private Limited, Mahima Paliwal.

The workshop focused on mental health challenges commonly faced by nursing students, including academic pressure, stress during clinical training, emotional fatigue, and early signs of burnout. Special emphasis was laid on strengthening self-motivation, emotional intelligence, communication skills, and professional conduct among students.

Through interactive activities, real-life examples, and a scientific approach, students were guided on practical techniques for stress management, maintaining motivation, and upholding professional behavior even in difficult situations. The session highlighted that mental health is not merely a personal matter but a crucial foundation for quality patient care and clinical excellence.

Students participated enthusiastically and gained a deeper understanding that while serving others, taking care of their own mental well-being is equally important. The initiative aimed to prepare future nursing professionals to be mentally resilient, compassionate, and responsible.

The program began with a welcome address by College Principal Dr. Sandeep Garg, who honored chief guest Mahima Paliwal with a bouquet and memento. In his address, he underlined the importance of motivation and stress management in today’s personal and professional environment, describing them as essential life skills.

Faculty members, staff, and B.Sc. Nursing students were present at the event.
