‘Ritu Vasant’ Festival to Enchant Shilpgram from February 20

Udaipur: The West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC), Udaipur, will organize a three-day cultural festival titled “Ritu Vasant” from February 20 to 22 at Shilpgram to celebrate the arrival of the spring season. The festival will showcase renowned classical musicians and dancers, promising an enchanting experience for art lovers.
WZCC Director Furkan Khan informed that the festival will commence on Friday (February 20) with a flute recital by Delhi-based musician Chetan Joshi. He will be accompanied by Anjaney Joshi on flute and Pandit Hitendra Dixit on tabla. This will be followed by an impressive Kathak performance by noted Delhi dancer Gauri Diwakar.
On Saturday (February 21), Gulzar Hussain from Jaipur will present a violin recital, joined by Mohammad Umar from Jaipur on dilruba in a special jugalbandi. They will be accompanied on tabla by Meraj Hussain and Zeyan Hussain. The evening will also feature a graceful Odissi dance performance by Kavita Dwivedi from Faridabad.
On Sunday (February 22), renowned classical vocalist Jayateerth Mevundi from Karnataka will present a Hindustani classical vocal recital, accompanied by Abhishek Mishra on tabla. The festival will conclude with a special dance production titled Nritya Pravah by Sadhya Group, New Delhi, choreographed by the acclaimed Santosh Nair.
Free Entry for the Public
The programs will begin daily at 7:00 PM, and entry will be free for all. The “Ritu Vasant” festival will offer music and dance enthusiasts a vibrant experience of India’s rich cultural heritage.
