Geetanjali Dental and Research Institute Concludes Advanced Zygomatic Implantology Program Successfully
Udaipur. The Department of Prosthodontics at Geetanjali Dental and Research Institute successfully concluded its two-day live surgery and hands-on training program on “Advanced Zygomatic Implantology and Immediate Implants” held on February 14–15, 2026.
On the second day of this specialized program, participants were provided with live surgical demonstrations, practical training, and direct exposure to advanced implant techniques.
Around 350 prosthodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, faculty members, and postgraduate and undergraduate students from across the country participated enthusiastically. Through hands-on sessions, attendees gained practical knowledge of zygomatic implant placement, immediate loading protocols, pterygoid implants, and precise treatment planning for complex clinical scenarios.
The keynote expert, Dr. Sankalp Mittal, a senior maxillofacial surgeon and implantologist from Government Dental College and Hospital Jaipur, delivered detailed insights into the latest surgical techniques in zygomatic implantology, management of complex cases, and the scientific principles essential for achieving successful treatment outcomes. During the live surgery demonstrations, participants interacted directly with experts and clarified their clinical queries.
Professor and Head of Department, Dr. Jyoti Kundu, delivered a special lecture on implant prosthesis rehabilitation. She highlighted modern techniques for functional and aesthetic restoration after implant placement, digital planning strategies, and essential protocols for long-term success. She also shared her experience in managing complex clinical cases, enriching participants with both scientific and practical perspectives.
The program was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Ankit Agrawal, Executive Director of the Geetanjali Group.
