Poets’ Gathering Enthralls Audience with 32 Poets in Udaipur
Udaipur | As part of the five-day Maharana Bhupal Singh Jayanti celebrations organized by Lokjan Seva Sansthan and Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, a grand poets’ conference was held at the Somani Auditorium of Shramjeevi College. Thirty-two poets from the city recited their excellent compositions and won the hearts of the audience.
Prof. Vimal Sharma, President of the organization, informed that the event was chaired by former administrative officer Dinesh Kothari. The Chief Guest was Colonel Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot. Special guests included Christopher D’Souza, Dr. Madhu Agrawal, and Harish Talreja.
In his address, Prof. Sarangdevot appreciated the poets for their verses filled with nationalism and brotherhood and paid tribute to the lofty ideals of Maharana Bhupal Singh. Christopher D’Souza fondly recalled his childhood memories associated with the palaces and also paid homage to Maharana Bhupal Singh.
Dr. Jai Raj Acharya delivered the welcome address, while General Secretary Jai Kishan Choubey introduced the organization. The program was compered by Pramila Sharad Vyas and Dr. Kul Shekhar, and the vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Vimal Sharma.
Among those who recited poetry were Meenakshi Pawar, Dr. Namrata Jain, Shahid Hussain, Mahendra Sahu, Sabira Rani, Shrenidan Charan, Dr. Madhu Agrawal, Dr. Nirmal Garg, Brijraj Singh Jagawat, Chandresh Khatri, Sanjay Gupta Devesh, Pushkar Gupteshwar, Gulzar Chittorgarh, Dr. Priyanka Bhatt, Mushtaq Chanchal, Sagarmal Sarraf, Dr. Sheetal Shrimali, Iqbal Sagar, Shakeel Alauddin, Kailash Soni, Vimal Sharma, Dr. Ishaq, Som Shekhar Vyas, Akhilesh Joshi, Dr. Karuna Dashora, Bansi Lal Lohar, Sharadendu Shekhar Vyas, and Lakshman Puri Goswami.
Special support in making the program successful was extended by Manohar Lal Mundra, Dr. Ramakant Sharma, Shriratan Mohta, Jai Kishan Choubey, Vimal Sharma, Suresh Tambeli, Dr. Kul Shekhar Vyas, and others.
