Flipkart Minutes recorded significant demand between 7th to 14th February 2026, witnessing 7X year-on-year growth, reinforcing the accelerating role of quick commerce in occasion-led shopping. Valentine’s Week unfolded through the lens of ‘RelationShop’, a curated in-app experience built around contemporary relationship stages from ‘situationship’ to ‘moving on’, transforming how customers discovered and shopped for gifts. Rather than browsing by product alone, shoppers entered through the context of their relationship moment and that cultural framing translated directly into carts. The ‘talking phase’ emerged as the most shopped stage, driving strong traction across gifting products such as earphones, late night snacks, energy drinks, board/card games, and chocolates resonating most during the week.
Carts leaned into heartfelt and playful gifting with chocolates doubling at 2X and baby pillows soaring 21X, stuffed toys jumping 15X, showpieces rising 14X, women fashion rings climbing 14X, greeting cards growing 13X and Valentine gift sets increasing 13X, signalling that shoppers went all in on thoughtful, feel good surprises. Order values peaked on 14th February between 9 and 10 am, with a second surge between 7 and 8 pm as celebrations culminated. Gen Z shoppers embraced Valentine’s week as a celebration of self expression, extending beyond partners to mark Galentines Day, with perfumes, greeting cards, rings, and necklaces emerging as popular picks on February 13. Among geographies, metros such as Kolkata and Hyderabad, along with Tier 1 plus cities including Ranchi, Siliguri, Ludhiana, and Dehradun, emerged as leading markets for Valentine’s Week shopping on Flipkart Minutes.
