PIMS Hospital, Umarda Organizes Blood Donation Camp at 185 Military Hospital, Udaipur

Udaipur — PIMS Hospital Umarda organized a blood donation camp on Wednesday at 185 Military Hospital. During the special camp held for the Army, brave soldiers voluntarily donated blood, upholding the highest standards of service and making the day memorable.

The trust of the Army in PIMS Hospital has been steadily growing in Udaipur. Once again, the Commanding Officer of Military Hospital Udaipur, Colonel Mukul Gupta, entrusted PIMS Hospital with the responsibility of organizing the blood donation camp.

Colonel Dr. Gupta welcomed the PIMS Hospital team, including Dr. Chandra Mathur (MOIC, Blood Center), Dr. Devanshi, Amita Pujari (In-charge), Lala Ram, Suresh, Kuldeep, Rohit, and others. Dr. Chandra Mathur, Head of the Blood Bank Department, was felicitated with a traditional *uparna* (ceremonial stole). Dr. Mathur also explained the importance of blood donation to the soldiers.

During the camp, there was great enthusiasm among the Army personnel to donate blood. Around 80 soldiers registered for the camp, and approximately 60 soldiers voluntarily donated blood.

The blood donation camp was conducted under the chairmanship of Dr. Chandra Mathur, and the entire PIMS team’s efforts were highly appreciated.

On this occasion, PIMS Hospital Chairman Ashish Agrawal stated that voluntary blood donation by soldiers on February 18 reflects the Army’s dedication to society and its sense of duty. He added that every unit of blood collected during the camp would help save lives. He emphasized that while the Army diligently protects the nation’s borders, it also serves society by donating blood to save those in need.

The camp was coordinated by Dharmendra Tank and retired Subedar Jaiprakash Tyagi.
