Udaipur: Rajasthan Lokayukta Justice Pratap Krishna Lohra was on an official visit to Udaipur on Thursday. He chaired a review meeting at the Collectorate Mini Auditorium to assess the progress of pending cases related to Udaipur district.
The meeting was held in the presence of District Collector Namit Mehta and Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal. Justice Lohra sought detailed updates on complaints pertaining to various departments, including the Zila Parishad, UDA, Municipal Corporation, Electricity Department, State Insurance, and Revenue Department, and directed officials to expedite investigations.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on ensuring fair and time-bound inquiries into pending cases. Justice Lohra instructed officers to strictly adhere to the principles of natural justice while conducting investigations to ensure that no party faces injustice. He particularly stressed the need for sensitivity in matters involving humanitarian concerns.
The Lokayukta stated that providing relief to complainants should be a priority and that the investigation process must remain transparent and effective. He urged officials to ensure qualitative disposal of complaints to maintain public trust.
Among those present at the meeting were Lokayukta Secretary Gaurishankar Sharma, ADM City Jitendra Ojha, Zila Parishad CEO Riya Dabi, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, UDA Secretary Hemendra Nagar, along with other concerned departmental officials.
