AI Hackathon Organized at Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth
"Abandon Irrelevant Skills, Embrace New Ones for Success" – Prof. Sarangdevot
Udaipur: The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth organized an AI Hackathon. The event evaluated participants across three stages: the first stage with multiple-choice questions, the second with short-answer questions, and the third focused on problem-solving.
Addressing the participants as the chief speaker, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot emphasized that in today’s era, re-skilling and up-skilling have become essential. He highlighted the need to let go of outdated skills that are no longer relevant. Prof. Sarangdevot expressed confidence that the effective and proper use of AI could lead to a revolutionary growth in India’s GDP. He also underscored AI’s importance in sectors such as personalized education, healthcare, and sustainable development, noting that initiatives like this help the university gain a new global recognition.
University Chancellor Shri B.L. Gurjar encouraged students to advance with technology, emphasizing that innovation and its proper application can help students solve future challenges.
The event began with a welcome address by Prof. Manju Mandot, Director of the Computer Science and IT Department, who introduced the guests and participants and highlighted the department’s ongoing technological innovations.
The first two stages of the hackathon were conducted using software developed by Event Secretary Dr. Chandresh Kumar Chhatlani. Participants were challenged with questions and problems across five categories: Health, Environment, Education, FinTech, and Governance.
Certificates and mementos were awarded to successful participants at the conclusion of the program.
On this occasion, Dr. Manish Shrimali also shared his insights. The event was attended by Dr. Bharat Singh Devda, Dr. Gaurav Garg, Dr. Pradeep Singh Shaktawat, Dr. Bharat Sukhwal, Dr. Dilip Chaudhary, Private Secretary Krishnakant Kumawat, Dr. Rajendra Vairagi, Dr. Lalit Salvi, Dr. Vikas Dangi, Durgashankar, along with other staff and participants.
