Deaf and Differently-Abled Children Spread Message Against Substance Abuse

Udaipur: On the occasion of World Social Justice Day, an Activity Festival 2026 for persons with disabilities was organized on Friday at the sports ground of Meera Girls College. The event featured sports activities, music, dance, and refreshments for differently-abled individuals and children.

The arrangements were efficiently managed by the team led by Girish Bhatnagar, Joint Director of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, along with District Sports Officer Mahesh Paliwal. Differently-abled participants enthusiastically took part in all activities and enjoyed the event.

On this occasion, deaf and mute children conveyed a strong message against substance abuse by displaying placards to express their thoughts to the public. They were also administered a pledge through sign language to abstain from substance abuse and to discourage such practices within their families.

Representatives, children, and differently-abled participants from organizations such as Narayan Seva Sansthan, Theosophical Society, SEDA Institute, Lavina Seva Sansthan, Abhilasha Special School, Ashadham Ashram, and Arogya Sansthan were present at the program.

All differently-abled participants were encouraged with gifts and prizes, and refreshments and meals were provided to them.

The successful organization of the program was supported by Assistant Director Arushi Jain, DP & SWO Mr. Suraj, Hostel Superintendents Sneha, Bharat, Vaibhav, Bhupesh, Assistant Staff Marta Ram, Mangilal, and Mr. Lokesh, along with representatives of various institutions.
