Theatre Workshop Begins; 33 Trainees Participate

Udaipur: A theatre workshop commenced on Friday at the Darpan Auditorium of Shilpgram, organized by the West Zone Cultural Centre.

Director of the Centre, Furkan Khan, elaborated on the art of theatre and informed that the workshop will continue until March 27. The training is being conducted by theatre expert Prof. Suresh Sharma, former Director of National School of Drama (NSD) and North Central Zone Cultural Centre (NCZCC), Prayagraj. A total of 33 trainees are participating in the workshop. He encouraged the participants to undergo the training with full dedication and sincerity.

On behalf of the Centre, Deputy Director (Program) Pawan Amarawat and Assistant Director Durgesh Chandwani welcomed Prof. Sharma by presenting him with a bouquet.

Prof. Sharma, a recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, stated that the workshop will provide training not only in acting but also in various other disciplines related to theatre. The workshop will conclude on March 27 (World Theatre Day) with a stage performance by the trainees.
