Grand Closing Ceremony of ‘Synapse Sports 2026’ at Geetanjali University
Udaipur: The ten-day annual sports festival **Synapse Sports 2026** at Geetanjali University concluded successfully on 20 February with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Over 800 students from various constituent colleges of the university participated, showcasing their talent across 11 different sports competitions.
The closing ceremony’s chief guest was the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Dr. R.K. Vyas. Distinguished guests included:
* Dr. Sangita Gupta, Dean, Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital, and Additional Principal Dr. Majinder Kaur
* Dr. Arvind Yadav, Dean (Postgraduate Studies), Geetanjali University
* Dr. Vijayamma Ajmera, Dean, Geetanjali College and School of Nursing
* Dr. Alok Rawat, Principal, along with Dr. Dinesh Sharma
* Dr. G.L. Dad, Principal, Geetanjali Paramedical College
* Dr. Pallav Bhatnagar, Principal, Geetanjali College of Physiotherapy
* Dr. Namit Nagar, Additional Principal, Geetanjali Dental and Research Institute
* Dr. Udichi Kataria, Additional Principal, Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy
The event was conducted under the guidance of the university’s Sports Officer, Alok Tiwari, and Dr. Vichitra Vibhuti.
The highlight of the ceremony was the announcement of the **Overall Championship**. Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital won the prestigious Overall Championship Trophy, while Geetanjali College of Physiotherapy secured the runner-up trophy. Vice-Chancellor Dr. R.K. Vyas presented the trophies to the winning teams, appreciating the players’ teamwork, discipline, and excellent performance. He remarked that sports are not just about winning or losing, but serve as a medium for personality development, unity, and leadership skills.
The festival concluded in a celebratory atmosphere, leaving students with memorable experiences and a renewed sense of inspiration.
