12th Convocation Ceremony of Sangam University Held in the Esteemed Presence of Governor Haribhau Bagde; 685 Students Awarded Degrees
Bhilwara: The 12th Convocation Ceremony of Sangam University was held on February 20, 2026, in a grand and dignified manner under the chief patronage of the Governor of Rajasthan, Haribhau Bagde. A total of 685 students were conferred degrees across various disciplines, including 31 PhDs and 30 Gold Medals, marking a significant academic milestone for the institution.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Bagde emphasized the critical role of intellectual capability and quality education in the present era. He stated that education not only enhances employability but also shapes character, ethical values, and responsible citizenship. He urged higher education institutions to set benchmarks in research, innovation, and social responsibility. Highlighting that knowledge, skills, and character are the three pillars of national development, he encouraged students to contribute actively to nation-building while drawing inspiration from the values of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
During the ceremony, University President and Vice Chancellor Prof. Karunesh Saxena presented the annual report, outlining the university’s academic progress, research achievements, innovation initiatives, and placement performance. He underscored the institution’s commitment to skill-based and industry-oriented education. Prof. Saxena proudly noted that students of the university had also contributed to the success of Chandrayaan-3, bringing national recognition to the institution.
The ceremony was presided over by Sangam Group Chairman Rampal Soni. Member of Parliament Damodar Agarwal and Prof. P. K. Singh from IIM Indore attended as special guests. Prof. Singh stressed the importance of linguistic proficiency and adaptability in an era of rapidly evolving technology.
The event commenced with an academic procession, ceremonial lamp lighting, and the national anthem. NCC cadets presented a Guard of Honour to the Governor. On this occasion, the Governor also inaugurated the new building of Sangam ITBI online.
The convocation witnessed the presence of university management, industry leaders, board members, faculty, parents, and a large number of students. The ceremony stood as a testament to Sangam University’s academic excellence, progressive vision, and continued commitment to shaping future leaders.
