Sriganganagar: Under the ongoing Drug-Free Sriganganagar Campaign, a drug awareness program was organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Fusewala under the leadership of District Collector Dr. Manju and Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan.
The program, conducted with the theme of a Cyber-Literate India and a Drug-Free Youth, was led by representatives from the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, including Mr. Vikram Jyani, Mr. Sahiram, and Lakshya. The event left a strong impact on students, parents, and teachers alike.
A dramatic presentation highlighted the dangers of cybercrime and the online world. Scenes depicted a student falling victim to fake calls and online gaming traps, suffering both mental and financial losses, and the mistakes of sharing personal information on social media. These scenarios made students realize how a single click in the digital world can lead to serious consequences. The speakers emphasized that both drugs and cyber traps are invisible enemies that slowly consume the future, and raising awareness among youth is crucial to winning half the battle against these evils.
At the conclusion of the program, participants took a pledge to become cyber-literate and to raise awareness among others, promising not to engage in drug use nor allow others to do so. The school administration reinforced the message that education is not limited to textbooks, and true education is that which makes life safe, meaningful, and valuable.
