National Conference on “Innovation Exchange and Collaborative Action for Sustainable Rural Transformation” Concluded Successfully

Udaipur: A three-day national conference titled “Innovation Exchange and Collaborative Action for Sustainable Rural Development” was successfully organized at the RCA Auditorium, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, by Arpan Seva Sansthan in collaboration with UNICEF and MPUAT.

The closing ceremony was graced by Dr. N.S. Rathore, Former Vice-Chancellor, MPUAT, as Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Dr. P.K. Singh, Former Dean, CTAE College Udaipur; Dr. Manoj Mahela, Dean, RCA College Udaipur; Shri A.K. Mehta, Dr. Shubhkaran Singh (Chairperson, Arpan Seva Sansthan); Shri Yashankar Shivhare (Secretary, Arpan Seva Sansthan); Shri Rajesh Jain (Treasurer, Arpan Seva Sansthan); Shri Varun Sharma (Chairperson, Aravali Sansthan, Jaipur); Shri Mahendra Chalka (Director, Chalka Agritech Pvt. Ltd., Kota); and Shri Ramavatar Bijania, who guided the proceedings.

The conference began with a session on FPO (Farmer Producer Organization) sustainability and entrepreneurship development. Shubendu Das from Ayecart presented practical models to make FPOs self-reliant and commercially viable, which deeply impressed the participants.

Several esteemed organizations addressed the conference virtually:

  • Ms. Rupali Goswami, Vice President of HDFC Parivartan, shared insights on the role of CSR in rural development.

  • Ms. Mabel Abraham, CSR Head, L&T, emphasized strengthening institutional collaboration.

  • Ms. Priyanka Sharma, Chief Operating Officer of Nand Ghar (Rajasthan) under the Anil Agarwal Foundation, appreciated Arpan’s contributions to upgrading Anganwadi centers.

  • Mr. Munna Khalid, Grant Executive, NBCFDC, highlighted financial opportunities under the Seed Scheme for DNT communities.

  • Mr. Rajeev Kumar Barnwal, DGM, NABARD Jaipur, discussed funding possibilities for agriculture and rural development.

  • Ms. Sheba Sen, Hasten Regeneration Pvt. Ltd., shared experiences on carbon credit opportunities.

  • Mr. Vipin Vijayan, North India CSR Head, LTIMindtree, shared perspectives on sustainable development practices.

  • CSR Consultant Mr. Neeraj Prasad conducted a practical training session on project design for mid- and grassroots-level management.

Dr. Manoj Mahela, Dean, RCA College Udaipur, spoke about connecting farmers with global markets. Shri Rajesh Jain, Shri Varun Sharma, Shri Mahendra Chalka, and Shri Ramavatar Bijania also shared their insights.

At the closing session, Dr. N.S. Rathore offered strategic suggestions on business analysis, entrepreneurship development, lifelong learning, generative AI, inclusive innovation, and sustainable transformation to guide the institution’s future direction. Dr. P.K. Singh emphasized climate change, staying updated amid growing competition, knowledge enhancement, and strengthening the institution’s corpus fund. Dr. Shubhkaran Singh, Chairperson of Arpan Seva Sansthan, pledged that insights from the three-day analysis would guide future actions and strengthen the organization.

The conference was not only a celebration of Arpan’s 30-year journey but also a reaffirmation of commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the vision of a Developed India, as articulated by the Honorable Prime Minister.

The three-day event concluded with heartfelt thanks from Secretary Shri Yashankar Shivhare, who expressed gratitude to all guests, funding partners, board members, community representatives, and Arpan staff.

Over 21 dedicated employees, serving the organization for more than 15 years, were honored with Commitment and Excellence Awards. The conference brought together 250 participants from seven states and over 50 farmers, engaging in discussions on innovation, collaboration, and sustainable rural development.
