Grand Conclusion of the Inter-Divisional Civil Services Sports Competition

Udaipur: The 12th Rajasthan State Inter-Divisional Civil Services Sports Competition, organized by the Department of Personnel under the district administration, concluded on Saturday with a grand closing ceremony. Winners of various sports were honored with trophies and certificates during the event held at Khelgaon (Sports Complex).

The formal closing ceremony was graced by Pragya Kevalramani, Divisional Commissioner, as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included Deependra Singh Rathore, ADM Administration, among others. Guests appreciated the participants’ excellent performances and emphasized that such competitions encourage sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among civil servants.

According to ADM Rathore, the nodal officer for the event, a total of 783 players—including 145 women and 638 men—participated in various sports over the three-day competition.

Thrills of the Final Matches

The final matches on Saturday enthralled spectators with outstanding performances. Both the volleyball and cricket finals showcased intense competition and exemplary sportsmanship.

Volleyball (Men’s Final):
In a closely contested match, Ajmer Division defeated Jodhpur Division to claim the championship. The match lasted 2 hours and 2 minutes over five sets. Ajmer initially dominated, winning the first two sets, but Jodhpur made a strong comeback to take the third and fourth sets, leveling the match 2–2. In the decisive fifth set (15 points), Ajmer secured victory 15–9, while Jodhpur finished as runner-up.

Cricket (Final):
The Udaipur Division team triumphed over Jaipur Division by 8 wickets. Jaipur won the toss and batted first, scoring 94 runs in 12 overs before being all out. Ajay Beniwal top-scored with 51 runs. Udaipur’s bowlers, Kailash Meena and Sagar Joshi, took three wickets each, while Prashant Soni claimed two. Chasing the target, Udaipur displayed an excellent batting performance, with Prashant Soni scoring 38 not out and Sagar Joshi 26 runs, sealing a comfortable victory.
