Senior Women Writers Honored on International Women’s Day

Kota: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, senior women literary figures of the Hadoti region—poet and writer Premlata Jain, Dr. Kshama Chaturvedi, Dr. Indu Rambabu, and Dr. Veena Agarwal—were honored on Sunday at a ceremony held in Mahaveer Nagar. They were felicitated with garlands, traditional scarves (Uparna), shawls, certificates of appreciation, and mementos.

The event was organized by Samras Sansthan Sahitya Srijan Bharat, Gandhinagar. The institution’s National President Dr. Shashi Jain welcomed the guests and participants. Since Dr. Indu Rambabu could not attend the function, she was honored at her residence.

Literary figure Vijay Joshi introduced the honored poets and said that poetry begins its journey from the people and ultimately returns to them. He noted that the honored writers have consistently expressed the emotional and social realities of their times through their works, contributing meaningfully to social concerns through literature. Their literary contributions, he added, provide direction and inspiration.

Speakers including Dr. Narendra Nath Chaturvedi, Rameshwar Sharma, Jitendra Nirmohi, Atul Kanak, Bhagwati Prasad Gautam, Dr. Atul Chaturvedi, Dr. Indu Bala Sharma, and Shyama Sharma shared their views, describing women writers as a priceless asset of the literary world and an inspiration for the younger generation of writers.

The program was conducted by Dr. Vaidehi Gautam, who also presented the Saraswati Vandana. Sandeep Dwivedi coordinated the event.

The program was organized on the initiative of the Sanskriti Sahitya Media Forum, and the convenor Dr. Prabhat Kumar Singhal expressed gratitude to all participants and guests.
