Udaipur’s First Daughter Rudrakshi Singh Commissioned in Army’s Judge Advocate General Branch
– Warm Welcome by Hotel Association; Foreign Tourists Take Photos
Udaipur: Another proud daughter of Udaipur has brought honor to the Lake City. Lieutenant Rudrakshi Singh Inda, daughter of the late Tarun Singh, was commissioned into the Judge Advocate General (JAG) branch of the Indian Army on 7 March 2026, after completing her training at the Officers Training Academy, Chennai. She is the first woman from Udaipur to receive such a commission. A grand welcome was organized in Udaipur upon her arrival on Wednesday.
Rudrakshi Singh’s elder uncle, Shaktisingh, expressed that this achievement is a matter of immense pride for the entire family and the Hotel Association, as she will lead Indian Army units as a female officer. She is the first JAG officer from Udaipur. Rudrakshi completed her B.Com LLB with first-class honors from University College of Law, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, and later earned an LLM in Intellectual Property Rights and Management from National Law University, Delhi. She began her career as a research associate, legal advisor, and teacher while also preparing for competitive exams conducted by the central and state governments.
Earlier, she had received a recommendation for the Indian Navy, but missed the opportunity by a few marks. Finally, on her seventh attempt, she secured a recommendation for the Indian Army and achieved All India Rank 4 in the JAG merit list in 2025. After completing the 11-month training at Officers Training Academy, Chennai, she was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Indian Army’s JAG department on 7 March 2026.
Her arrival in Udaipur was celebrated with a grand reception. On this occasion, Sudershan Dev Singh Karohi, President of the Hotel Association, Rajesh Agrawal, Senior Vice President, Usha Sharma, Secretary, along with members Shakti Singh, Vikas Porwal, Manohar Singh Chauhan, Mandeep Singh Chauhan, Om Paliwal, Ajay Singh Krishnawat, Deepak Jangid, and Mahipal Singh were present. Foreign tourists visiting Udaipur were delighted to learn about Rudrakshi Singh’s achievement and took photographs with her.
