Udaipur: Under the Aspirational Block Programme of NITI Aayog, Government of India, Central Nodal Officer Subhash Chandra Karol chaired a review meeting on Friday at the Zila Parishad auditorium to assess the progress of various initiatives being implemented in Kherwara, the district’s selected aspirational block.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the work being carried out by different departments under the programme, their achievements, and future strategies. At the beginning of the meeting, Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Riya Dabi and Chief Planning Officer Mahavir Prasad gave a comprehensive presentation on the progress of the Aspirational Block Programme in the district.
They informed that continuous efforts are being made in Kherwara to improve performance on various indicators set by NITI Aayog, and that better results are emerging through coordination among different departments.
The meeting also reviewed achievements made during the first phase of the “Sampurnata Abhiyan.” CEO Riya Dabi said that during the first phase, several targets related to health, nutrition, education, and infrastructure were successfully achieved. She also briefed the central officer on the activities currently underway in the second phase and the progress made toward the set targets.
Officials also presented information about innovations and best practices implemented by various departments. They explained that several local-level innovations have made the implementation of the programme more effective, providing direct benefits to the public.
The meeting also discussed the “Khushhal Kherwara Abhiyan,” an initiative launched by the District Collector. Officials explained that the campaign focuses on multiple aspects of social and economic development in the region and has been bringing positive benefits to the local community.
Central Nodal Officer Subhash Chandra Karol expressed satisfaction with the progress and ongoing work in Aspirational Block Kherwara. He advised officials that if additional support or resources from central ministries are required for the effective implementation of any scheme, the requirements should be clearly communicated so that necessary assistance can be provided in a timely manner.
The meeting was attended by Chief District Education Officer Pratibha Gupta, ICDS Deputy Director Nandlal Meghwal, Assistant Director Dr. Dinesh Bansal from the CDEO office, and other district-level officials from various departments.
