Udaipur Runs with the Resolve of a Developed Rajasthan

Udaipur: As part of the Rajasthan Day Week celebrations being held on the initiative of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to mark Rajasthan Foundation Day (Chaitra Shukla Pratipada), several programs are being organized across the state. In this series, a “Viksit Rajasthan Run” marathon was held on Sunday at the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake under the joint aegis of the District Administration and the Udaipur Development Authority. Thousands of people participated in the run with enthusiasm and energy.

With the commitment to realize the dream of a Developed Rajasthan, the atmosphere at the Fateh Sagar lakeside was vibrant and energetic on Sunday morning. From 6:00 AM, participants including youth, athletes, government officials, employees, and citizens began gathering near Taya Palace to take part in the marathon. A large number of participants also came from government departments, private educational institutions, National Cadet Corps, Bharat Scouts and Guides, and various sports organizations.

Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani, District Collector Namit Mehta, and UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain flagged off the marathon.

Before the start of the event, Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani said that such activities during Rajasthan Day Week help promote positive energy and public participation in society. She emphasized that healthy citizens form the strong foundation of a developed state, and such programs inspire people to adopt healthy, clean, and active lifestyles.

District Collector Namit Mehta stated that participation from every section of society is essential to achieve the goal of a Developed Rajasthan. He encouraged youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle and actively contribute to the development of the state while participating in such initiatives.

Participants enthusiastically ran with the pledge to contribute toward a prosperous and developed Rajasthan. The marathon started from the Fateh Sagar lakeside and concluded at UDA Circle via the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple route.

Among those present on the occasion were ADM (Administration) Dipendra Singh Rathore, ADM (City) Jitendra Ojha, Girwa SDM Avula Sai Krishna, Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Ojha, District Sports Officer Dr. Mahesh Paliwal, along with several other officials from various departments.

The event conveyed a strong message encouraging citizens to adopt a healthy lifestyle while spreading the vision of a Developed Rajasthan among the public.
