Seven-Day NSS Special Camp Concludes at CDFT, MPUAT Udaipur

Udaipur : The closing ceremony of a seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) special camp was organized at the College of Dairy and Food Technology (CDFT) of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur. The camp was conducted with the aim of developing discipline, social responsibility, and a spirit of community service among students. NSS volunteers, faculty members, and students participated enthusiastically in the program.

On this occasion, Dr. Manoj Mahla, Student Welfare Officer of MPUAT, attended as the Chief Guest, while the program was presided over by Dr. Lokesh Gupta.

At the beginning of the program, Dr. Kamlesh Meena, Program Coordinator of the NSS unit at CDFT, presented a detailed report of the activities conducted during the seven-day camp. He stated that the primary objective of the camp was to encourage leadership qualities, teamwork, and social service among students. A video presentation showcasing the various activities conducted during the camp was also shown.

The activities included physical training, yoga sessions, parade practice, community service (shramdaan), and special lectures on various topics. During the camp, renowned speakers delivered lectures on important subjects such as the right to vote and democratic participation, digital literacy, water conservation, and “The Art of Mind Control” for mental balance. These activities aimed to raise social awareness among students and inspire them to become responsible citizens.

While presiding over the ceremony, Dr. Lokesh Gupta congratulated the NSS volunteers for their active participation in the camp’s activities. He said that the experiences and lessons learned during these seven days should be incorporated into their daily lives. He also suggested that NSS volunteers should regularly participate in community service and dedicate at least one hour each week to social work. He added that disciplined youth with innovative ideas have the potential to bring positive change to society.

Chief Guest Dr. Manoj Mahla appreciated the disciplined and dedicated efforts of the NSS volunteers during the camp. He said that students are the future of the nation, and they play a vital role in building a responsible and aware society. He encouraged students to remain disciplined, socially conscious, and committed to their civic duties. He also suggested that each student should adopt and take care of at least one plant during their college years to promote environmental conservation.

A special video based on the camp’s activities was prepared and presented by students Vatsal Gandhi and Jitendra, which was appreciated by everyone present.

On the occasion, NSS volunteers Miss Gunjan Rathore, Natasha, Dharmendra Prajapat, Ashwini Dhaka, Khushboo Chaudhary, Ayush, and Vivek were honored for their outstanding performance in various activities.

The program was anchored by Ayush Sharma and Gunjan Rathore. Senior students Vatsal Gandhi, Krishnapal, Praveen Singh, Jitendra, and Khushi also played an important role in the successful organization of the camp.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all volunteers, organizers, and participants who contributed to the successful completion of the camp.
