Historic Bollywood Singing Nights to be Organized by R.D. Burman Fans Club in Sri Ganganagar

Sri Ganganagar: The R.D. Burman Fans Club, which has been actively promoting and encouraging musical talent in Sri Ganganagar for over a decade, is set to organize a grand Bollywood Singing Nights program. The event will feature renowned singers from Mumbai, Chandigarh, and other cities, promising a memorable evening for the city’s music lovers.

A key meeting for the event was held on Sunday evening at a hotel on Sukhadiyanagar Road, with MLA Jaydeep Bihani attending as the chief guest. During the meeting, the poster for the event, scheduled for 22 March at 5:00 PM at Blooming Dales International School (BDIS) on Hanumangarh Road, was unveiled. The event was attended by prominent office bearers and dignitaries of the club, including President Vinod Goyal (Advocate), Founder Coordinator Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Secretary Dr. Kusum Jain, Patron Senior Advocate Mrs. Manju Pandey, Industrialist Rajesh Jain, BDIS Directors Ajay Gupta, Nitin Agrawal and Sanjay Gupta, senior social worker Narendra Changia, Engineer Banshidhar Jindal, Treasurer Lalit Doda, Former President Sanjeev Lohia, Shyamsundar Goswami, Vice President Prem Chugh, Joint Secretaries Nandan Gupta, Pawan Jindal, Dr. Shailesh Goyal, Dr. Sarita Upneja, Jagirchand Farma, Vimal Bihani, Gopal Mittal, Amit Nagpal, Vinod Sethi, Bhupendra Bajaj, among others.

Founder Coordinator Shailendra Singh Chauhan presented a detailed overview of the program, explaining that it would be the first large-scale music event in Sri Ganganagar’s history, featuring 20 musicians alongside singers and performers. The event will be specially dedicated to international saxophonist Manohari Singh, who worked as a music arranger and composer with legendary musician R.D. Burman throughout his career. Chauhan emphasized that the program will not only provide a platform for local talent but also fill the city with the timeless tunes of Bollywood.

President Advocate Vinod Goyal highlighted that the event has been organized to ensure that the audience enjoys a memorable experience that leaves a lasting impression on their hearts and minds. He also shared that various teams have been formed to manage arrangements, publicity, and guest coordination. Members present, including Amar Singh Ahuja, Ashwini Bihani, Vinod Bihani, and M.P. Singh, also offered valuable suggestions to enhance the program’s impact. New members Sunil Munjal and Praveen Gupta were welcomed and felicitated during the meeting.

Other dignitaries present included Jaikumar Jasuja, Prakash Jalandhara, Dr. O.P. Vaishya, and others. Chief Guest MLA Jaydeep Bihani extended his best wishes for the success of the event and assured full support from his side. He noted that 2027 will mark the centenary of Sri Ganganagar’s founding, and several major cultural events are planned, including a grand musical program featuring prominent Bollywood artists. He urged the R.D. Burman Fans Club to take responsibility for the centenary celebrations, citing the club’s reputation for organizing high-quality events and expressing confidence that this program would set new milestones.

The Bollywood Singing Nights are expected to be a major cultural milestone for Sri Ganganagar, helping local talent gain national recognition. Entry to the event will be free, and all music lovers are invited to attend.
