Meeting Held to Prepare for ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan Campaign 2026–27’

Udaipur: A meeting was held on Wednesday at the District Collectorate Hall under the direction of District Collector Namit Mehta and in the presence of District Council CEO Riya Dabi to ensure effective implementation of the state government’s ambitious Hariyalo Rajasthan Campaign 2026–27.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the plantation strategy, department-wise responsibilities, and coordination required to achieve the targets. For this year, a target of planting more than 5.7 million saplings has been assigned to the district through various departments. Officials were instructed to ensure timely and quality execution of the targets.

A review of last year’s campaign was also conducted. Udaipur district had performed exceptionally well, securing second position at the state level. CEO Riya Dabi directed all departments to work in coordination to maintain this achievement and aim for the top position this year.

Under the Collector’s guidance, officials were instructed to identify suitable plantation sites during March itself, ensure land availability, and complete all necessary preparations in advance so that plantation work can be carried out effectively during the monsoon season.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Conservator of Forests Mukesh Saini, Deputy Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Yadvendra Singh Chundawat, and district-level officers from various departments.
