Chief Minister Flags Off 207 New Buses

Jaipur: On the occasion of Rajasthan Day, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma flagged off 207 new buses of the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) from the Ajmer Road bus terminal on Thursday. The addition of these buses will further strengthen the public transport system in the state and provide improved commuting facilities to the general public.

During the event, the Chief Minister extended his greetings to all residents of Rajasthan on Rajasthan Day and the Hindu New Year. In a media interaction, he recalled that the “Iron Man” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had established a unified Rajasthan on the Indian New Year, Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, under the Revati Nakshatra-Indrayog on March 30, 1949. He said this is why the state government decided to celebrate Rajasthan Day on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. This year, March 19 marked the grand celebration of this auspicious day across the state, accompanied by various state-level programs organized over the past several days.

Committed to Realizing Prime Minister’s Vision of Developed India
Sharma emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajasthan is rapidly progressing toward the vision of a developed India and a developed Rajasthan. He highlighted that over the past 1.25 years, new dimensions of development have been achieved across all sectors of the state. On the occasion of Rajasthan Day, he also wished prosperity and well-being to all residents.

The Chief Minister formally inaugurated the new buses after a ceremonial puja. The fleet includes 100 Blue Line Express buses, 79 Star Line buses, and 28 AC buses, bringing a total addition of 207 new vehicles to the RSRTC fleet. These buses have been equipped with the latest safety standards to ensure modern, safe, and efficient travel for passengers.

During the event, CM Sharma also distributed helmets to 700 women as part of the Road Safety Initiative and engaged with them to encourage adherence to traffic rules.

The Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by the public with garlands and greetings on Rajasthan Day. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, MP Manju Sharma, other public representatives, officials, and citizens.
