Drug Awareness Workshop Organized at Coaching Institute

Sri Ganganagar: Under the leadership of District Collector Dr. Manju and District Police Superintendent Mr. Harishankar, a drug awareness workshop was held at IMA Coaching Institute as part of the ongoing Drug-Free Sri Ganganagar Campaign. The workshop aimed to educate youth about the harmful effects of drug use and promote the creation of a healthy, empowered society.

During the session, Mr. Vikram Jyani from the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment emphasized that addiction is not just a habit but a conspiracy that gradually erodes a person’s mind, family, and future. It destroys not only the body but also dreams. He highlighted that the first step a young person takes toward addiction is the most crucial turning point; stopping at that stage can save an entire life.

Mr. Jyani encouraged youth to take control of their lives, stating that by doing so, they can not only shape their own future but also inspire society. “You are your parents’ hope and the last ray of their dreams. One wrong step can turn their hopes into a lifetime of sorrow,” he said.

At the conclusion of the program, all students collectively took a pledge to stay away from drugs and help others avoid falling into the trap. Police Constable Mr. Praveen Kumar also educated the youth about the Manas Helpline 1933, cyber safety, and traffic rules.
