Udaipur: A large number of visitors thronged the Rajasthan Industrial Trade Expo–2026 (RITEX), organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the B.N. College Ground, on its second day. Nearly all stalls witnessed continuous footfall from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, creating a lively and bustling atmosphere.
Mukesh Madhvani, Convener of PHD Chamber (Udaipur Region) and Founder & Chairman of Business Circle International (BCI), stated that compared to last year, there has been a noticeable increase in interest among city residents and nearby visitors. He highlighted that people showed great enthusiasm in exploring new information and innovative products at the expo.
He further informed that under the “Rising Rajasthan” initiative by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Rajasthan, visitors received detailed information about the One District One Product (ODOP) policy. This includes benefits such as margin money subsidies, marketing assistance, standard certification support, technology/software assistance, and branding support.
Under the margin money subsidy scheme, new micro enterprises can receive a 25% subsidy up to ₹15 lakh, while small enterprises can get a 15% subsidy up to ₹20 lakh. Additionally, women, SC/ST, differently-abled, and young entrepreneurs are eligible for an extra subsidy of ₹5 lakh.
Regional Director of PHD Chamber, R.K. Under standard certification assistance, up to 75% reimbursement (maximum ₹3 lakh) is provided for expenses related to national and international certification consultancy.
For technology/software support, up to 50% assistance (maximum ₹5 lakh) is available for acquiring advanced technology from national institutions. Under branding support, 75% reimbursement (up to ₹1 lakh per year for two years) is offered for e-commerce platform fees, along with a one-time 60% subsidy (up to ₹75,000) for website development.
Visitors can contact the District Industries and Commerce Centre, Udaipur, for further details and assistance regarding these schemes. During the expo, a seminar on Rajasthan ODOP Policy–2024 was also organized by the District Industries Centre, Udaipur.
One of the major attractions of the expo was the intricate glass inlay artwork showcased by Shri Balaji Thikri Glass Inlay Works. Visitors were amazed by the craftsmanship involving small, colorful glass pieces used to decorate temple interiors, hotel walls, ceilings, and artistic designs.
The proprietor, Ganesh Vaishnav, shared that while grand Sheesh Mahals were built in the past, today people prefer smaller versions of the same art form in homes, temples, and hotels. This traditional craft is highly appreciated not only across India but also internationally. He recounted receiving an order from the United States, where a client wanted a Sheesh Mahal-style design similar to one seen in Lahore. After being dissatisfied with other attempts, the client approached them, and they successfully recreated the design based on photos and videos.
Coffee-making machines were another major attraction at the expo. Stall operator Kishan Gurjar displayed a range of automatic and semi-automatic coffee machines, along with coffee beans and instant coffee products. Visitors showed keen interest in purchasing these machines, which are suitable for both home and business use.
The machines are available in a wide price range, from ₹16,500 to ₹3.5 lakh, making them accessible for different types of buyers.
