MLA Visits Khelgaon, Reviews Swimming Camp, Encourages Athletes
Udaipur: Under the Rajasthan Government’s Panch Gaurav Scheme, selected athletes from the block-level talent search are undergoing residential training at the Maharana Pratap Khelgaon swimming pool, under the guidance of District Collector Namit Mehta and UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain. On Saturday, Udaipur City MLA Tarachand Jain visited the camp, interacted with the athletes, and boosted their morale.
District Sports Officer Dr. Mahesh Paliwal explained that the swimmers attending the camp received training in sports activities, yoga, and swimming techniques during the morning session. MLA Tarachand Jain and social worker Atul Chandalia were also present during the session. The guests were welcomed and provided with detailed information about the camp.
During his interaction with the athletes, MLA Jain encouraged them to continue practicing the techniques they have learned in their respective villages and to bring recognition to their panchayats, districts, and the nation. He assured that any financial support needed to promote swimming through the MLA fund would be provided.
He also instructed Dr. Paliwal to disseminate detailed information about the camp to further promote swimming in the region. The MLA was highly impressed by the swimming talent displayed by the athletes at the panchayat level and appreciated this unique initiative.
