####111 Women Honoured at Mewar Women’s Pride Award Ceremony in Udaipur

Udaipur | In a grand celebration of women’s achievements and empowerment, the Mewar Nari Gaurav Samman-2 was successfully held under the joint aegis of Mewar Vikas Manch and the Swachh Rajasthan Abhiyan.

The event took place at the Bappa Rawal Auditorium, where 111 women were honoured for their exceptional contributions across fields such as education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, law, social work, media, and information technology.

Cleanliness and Responsibility at the Core

Presiding over the ceremony, K K Gupta emphasized the importance of cleanliness and environmental responsibility as essential pillars for a developed society.

He stated that cleanliness is not just a campaign but a shared responsibility that requires active participation from every citizen. Referring to World Water Day, he also encouraged people to adopt water conservation practices and contribute toward a sustainable future.

Women as Agents of Change

Chief Guest Chetna Bhati highlighted the critical role women play in shaping society. She noted that empowered women can significantly contribute to national initiatives such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.

She emphasized that while institutions may have limitations, the influence of women within families and communities is far-reaching and impactful.

Prof Meera Mathur stressed the importance of incorporating environmental education into daily life.

Rashmi Srivastava highlighted the need for awareness of both rights and responsibilities toward women.

Dr Anita Rathore spoke about the legacy of dignity and self-respect among women and emphasized the importance of safety and vigilance in society.

Celebrating Women’s Strength and Leadership

Program convener Dr Rajshree Gandhi, President of Mewar Vikas Manch, welcomed the gathering and dedicated the event to women’s empowerment.

She encouraged women to think freely while staying grounded in strong values, emphasizing the importance of balancing progress with cultural roots.

The event also featured a graceful dance performance by Pankti Jain, adding a cultural dimension to the ceremony.
