###Global AI Symposium Begins at MPUAT Udaipur

Udaipur,: A two-day international symposium, LASIRE-2026 (Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Strengthen Innovation & Research Ecosystem), commenced at the College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE), Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur. The event is being आयोजित in hybrid mode, enabling participation from distinguished academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students from India and abroad.


 

The inaugural session was graced by eminent dignitaries including Dr. S. L. Mehta, Dr. B. P. Sharma, and Dr. Sandeep Sancheti, who highlighted the growing significance of Artificial Intelligence in driving innovation and research.

Dr. Sunil Joshi emphasized the transformative role of AI in agriculture, stating that data-driven crop management can enhance productivity while ensuring efficient resource utilization. He underlined the increasing importance of sensor technologies, satellite data, and weather analytics in modern farming, enabling farmers to make timely and accurate decisions.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. S. L. Mehta described AI as a powerful tool to accelerate research quality and output. He stressed the importance of continuous learning, reading habits, and critical thinking to effectively utilize AI while avoiding misuse or misinterpretation.

Dr. B. P. Sharma spoke about the rising cybersecurity challenges associated with AI adoption, urging participants to prioritize data protection, privacy, and system reliability. He highlighted the need for responsible and secure usage of AI technologies.

Keynote speaker Dr. Sandeep Sancheti focused on the importance of research quality, data credibility, and global visibility. He encouraged researchers to publish in reputed international journals, adopt data-driven methodologies, and leverage digital tools to enhance transparency and impact. He also emphasized the value of international collaborations in addressing global challenges.

The symposium features in-depth discussions on Artificial Intelligence, agri-innovation, digital technologies, data science, and emerging technologies.

Speaker Varun Vij highlighted that AI is not just a tool but relies heavily on robust networking, seamless data flow, and IT infrastructure. He stressed the need for high-quality data, fast networks, and scalable computing resources for effective AI systems.

Speaker Benjamin Holtzman elaborated on AI-native engineering, noting that effective prompt planning and the use of large language models like ChatGPT can unlock AI’s full potential, simplifying complex tasks through AI-assisted engineering.
