In Times of War, Mahavir’s Philosophy of Peace is More Relevant: Devendra Brahmachari

New Delhi: At a time when humanity across the world is suffering due to war, violence and unrest, the message of non-violence and peace given by Lord Mahavir is more relevant than ever. On the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti this year, this message will give the world not the darkness of war, but the light of peace.
With this spirit, an important review and planning meeting was held today at Jain Bhavan, Gol Market, New Delhi, regarding the preparations for Lok-Dharmotsav 2026 to be organized on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. The meeting was chaired by Swami Devendra Brahmachari, founder of the Mahavirayan Foundation. In his meaningful guidance, he not only provided direction but also clarified the spiritual foundation on which this event can become an inspiration for society.
All members present in the meeting discussed various aspects to make the Mahavir Jayanti celebration on 25 March 2026 at Mavalankar Auditorium, Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, grand, well-organized and meaningful, including the event framework, detailed arrangements, and wide public outreach and participation.
On the sacred occasion of the 2625th Birth Kalyanak of Lord Mahavir, this grand national event “Lok-Dharmotsav,” organized under the aegis of the Mahavirayan Foundation, will be a moment when non-violence will transform into compassion, restraint into culture, and the message of “Live and Let Live” will reach every individual.
On this dignified occasion, several distinguished public representatives and eminent personalities will grace the ceremony, including V. K. Singh, Governor of Mizoram, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Law Minister, Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister of Delhi, Chirag Paswan, Union Minister, Shripad Yesso Naik, Union Minister, Ramdas Athawale, Union Minister, Ajay Tamta, Union Minister, Arun Singh, Member of Parliament, Manoj Tiwari, Member of Parliament, and Suresh Jain, National General Secretary of Bharatiya Vikas Parishad.
This festival is not just an event, but a symbol of an idea that transforms human beings from within and makes them noble. The message of Lord Mahavir is not limited to any one sect, but is a guiding light for the entire humanity.
In the words of Swami Devendra Brahmachari (Guruji), “At a time when the world needs sensitivity and balance, Mahavir’s message is the path that can unite humanity.”
Saints, scholars, public representatives, social workers and devotees from India and abroad will participate in this event. Cultural and spiritual presentations will make this festival even more vibrant and meaningful. This is not just an event to watch, but an opportunity to feel, to adopt, and to carry forward.
