Inspection of Central Jail and Old Age Home Conducted
Udaipur: Under the guidance of District Legal Services Authority Chairman and District & Sessions Judge Gyan Prakash Gupta, the Authority’s Secretary and ADJ Kuldeep Sharma conducted an inspection of the Central Jail in Udaipur.
During the inspection of the men’s jail, he reviewed the facilities being provided to inmates, including medical care, food, tea, and breakfast. He also gathered information regarding the availability of free legal aid, appeals, parole, and other legal services for prisoners. The inmates were informed about legal assistance available under the Legal Aid Defense Counsel Scheme implemented by the District Legal Services Authority, Udaipur.
Similarly, ADJ Sharma also inspected the Government Old Age Home at Balicha, operated by Tara Sansthan. During the visit, he provided information to the elderly residents about their rights, senior citizen modules, free legal aid services, the NALSA portal, and the NALSA helpline number 15100.
