A Blend of Service and Respect on Durga Ashtami: Kanya Pujan of 501 Differently-Abled Girls

Udaipur: On the auspicious occasion of Durga Ashtami and Ram Navami, rituals dedicated to the nine forms of Goddess Durga were performed with devotion on Thursday at the Seva Mahatirth campus of Narayan Seva Sansthan. On this occasion, 501 differently-abled girls were honored through Kanya Pujan, with prayers offered for their bright future.

The institution’s Director, Vandana Agrawal, performed the पूजा and presented gifts to the girls as a mark of respect. Afterwards, all the girls were served prasad including halwa, puri, kheer, and chana.

Speaking on the occasion, Vandana Agrawal said that Kanya Pujan on Durga Ashtami symbolizes service, faith, and respect. She highlighted that the organization continuously works to empower differently-abled girls and integrate them into the mainstream by providing free medical care, education, skill training, and rehabilitation services.

Institution President Prashant Agrawal shared that the organization has been carrying forward the tradition of Kanya Pujan for the past 22 years. During Navratri, the girls are also provided with free corrective disability surgeries, helping bring positive changes to their lives.

The program was coordinated by Mahim Jain.
